I came home from work only to find that I had a smell in the air when the circuit breaker burned out, and I’m still not sure what. It seems to be coming from my garbage disposal unit.
Before you start manipulating your garbage disposal unit, confirm that the circuit breaker is not the problem you had.
Check the circuit breaker on your domestic power supply, check the wall switch for your garbage disposal, remove the switch panel and check for loose connections, pull them on and reset the switch if necessary. Check if you have not triggered the garbage disposal circuit and leave it in operation in a working outlet that is waiting for the disposal to be tested for functioning connections. If you replace a existing worn switch in your waste disposal with a known good disposal switch (or even a new, working switch), check all the voltages that get into the wires (if there are none) and then check again after breaker reset to see if any voltages are present.
If you need to fix your garbage disposal or any other kitchen appliance, call our office for service. Our trained technicians will look at your equipment to determine the exact reason for the failure of your garbage disposal, make the necessary repairs to get it back into operation or, if you so wish, install a new unit. If the problem cannot be fixed, the technicians will help you select a newer unit, install it and fix the problem. And if your problem has not been resolved and you are not feeling well because the garbage disposal unit is no longer working for you, call our office for an appointment.
Most disposals come with an Allen key, which should be the only tool you need to repair a buzzing garbage disposal unit. If your garbage disposal has no hexagonal holes or you do not have Allen keys, do not forget your short broom and put it in the garbage disposal. Use the included wrenches such as screwdrivers, screwdrivers and wrenches. Stick them into the spiral hole or grinding chamber of the waste disposal to rotate the hole and use.
Make sure that the power on the switch cabinet is switched off and also turn off the wall switch for garbage disposal. Press the red reset button and if it still does not work properly, turn the power switch for the garbage disposal to hold the reset buttons and see if the device starts up again. Also, turn all wall switches for garbage disposal on and off and turn them off.
If the garbage disposal system is not working or not switched on at all, a problem with the power source of the device is a possible cause. If you are trying to find the possible reason why your garbage disposal is no longer working, switch off the power for all appliances in your home power supply to avoid accidents.
