If the wires connecting the igniter to the control module are not firmly connected, you will not receive the spark needed to properly ignite the burner. Without the plug connected, the energy cannot reach the burner and does not heat up. As far as problems with the stove are concerned, you can expect the day in the future when you turn it on and the coils will not generate heat.
