My Ice Maker Is Not ejecting ice?

If the valve controlling the supply line is corroded, worn, or blocked, it will interfere with the operation of the ice maker. A poor faucet tap – a small device which connects the water supply hose to the ice maker – can cause a problem when the water hose connects to the ice maker. The fill valve directs water through the pipe to the mechanized ice maker, which includes an ice mold. Once the mold has reached the correct temperature a little heat is removed to melt the ice cubes slightly. The ice maker starts the collection cycle by removing the ice cubes and filling them with water.

If the ice maker mold thermostat is defective the ice maker will not drop the ice cubes. If the problem cannot be resolved or the liner inside the ice maker mold is peeling off the ice cubes, the entire unit must be replaced. If individual components can be replaced it should be possible to inspect and replace the ejector motor individually if necessary.

Find ice in an ice cube tray and check that the motor that drives the ice ejector lever is running and turn on the power and listen to water begin filling the ice cube tray. Remove the ice maker cover to check how much water enters the ice cube tray during each cycle.

If the size of the ice cube does not change, check the condition of electrical connections that control the operation of the ice cube tray and the supply supply valve. Checking these electrical connections requires voltage tests performed by professionals.

If ice is found inside the ice cube tray, it means water is entering the ice maker and the water supply is probably not the problem. If the ice is properly cooked in trays and released into the bucket but there is no ice in the cup, the problem is most likely related to the ice maker chute or dispenser system. If the ice maker forms in the trays and flows into the bucket but is not pushed out of the refrigerator, the problem is most likely linked to the chute or feeder system

When you put a glass under the dispenser, the ice falls off until you move the glass away and the ice stops, but when it stops, the ice can potentially melt a little under the influence of the hot air on the end of the chute and then freeze again, turning into a serious uneven block or traffic jam, froth can also accumulate in the chute and ejection system, blocking moving parts and preventing new ice from rolling down the chute.

Usually an ice dispenser uses an auger to remove ice cubes, but if there are no individual cubes or pieces that the auger can break you will not get ice. While holding the dispenser with an open bowl (you may need a friend), use the end of a long-handled wooden spoon to break up the ice that has turned into several deformed blocks of ice at the bottom of the trough and large chunks of ice will form in the container over time.

The water in the line is probably frozen if there is no ice. You may not notice that ice is not thrown out because the heater will not turn on but that could also be the cause.

In this case it is the ice blockage that prevents the freezer from dispensing ice cubes because when the ice bin is not frequently used or is overfilled, melting and re-frozen can cause the ice cubes to clump together one of the most common reasons the ice maker won’t release ice is because of the ice block inside the container.

If your refrigerator does not create ice, there are two possible causes of that problem – chunks of ice in the container, a broken dispenser or ejector, ice stuck in a chute – or a clogged dispenser – there are also chunks of ice in the container.

If the ice maker does not eject ice, the freezer is at the correct temperature, ice is not clogged, ice does not accumulate in the hopper and the refrigerator restarts, you need to check the ice maker parts to confirm which part is wrong and the ice maker may turn off. Once the jam has vanished, rinse the chute with warm water and try again for ice.
